The Belediyecilik Forumu (BELFOR), organized by the Union of Turkish Municipalities (TBB), brought together representatives from over 200 Turkish cities and localities to share innovative projects in urban development and climate action. At this key event, JUST4CARE presented its approach to just climate adaptation, focusing on community participation, social inclusion, and local capacity-building. The session highlighted how climate solutions must be designed with and for the most vulnerable communities to ensure equity and resilience.
The event generated strong interest among local authorities eager to exchange knowledge and best practices in climate adaptation. During the session, JUST4CARE showcased how the project works to:

- – Promote inter-municipal collaboration to replicate context-specific solutions.
Discussions at BELFOR reinforced the importance of supporting municipalities in developing context-specific solutions that address both climate risks and social vulnerability. The event also opened doors for future collaborations with Turkish cities, particularly in climate governance and citizen participation.
