REGEA is an institution focused on investments, advice and innovative solutions in the energy and climate protection sector, with experience in projects across the European Union.
In JUST4CARE, REGEA contributes to the Zagreb pilot and supports the connection between technical climate and energy expertise, municipal implementation and local adaptation needs. Its role is particularly relevant in a historic urban district where climate action must work with heritage constraints, ageing residents and everyday comfort.
This matters because adaptation in historic cities cannot rely only on standard infrastructure solutions. REGEA helps explore how energy, climate and public-space measures can be adapted to local conditions while protecting people who are more exposed to heat and less able to self-adapt.
This matters because the project’s credibility depends on what happens in real neighbourhoods. GEA21 helps ensure that pilots are not presented as isolated tests, but as learning territories where cities and communities can understand risks, identify safeguards and adapt without creating new forms of exclusion.
