Registration is now open for the Fifth Forum of the European Union Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, which will take place on 23 and 24 November 2026 in Dublin and will be accessible both in person and online.
Organised within the framework of the Mission Implementation Platform for Adaptation to Climate Change, MIP4Adapt, the Forum will bring together regional and local authorities, policymakers, researchers, practitioners and climate adaptation experts from across Europe.
The event will focus on practical and transferable solutions that are already helping cities, regions and communities respond to the impacts of climate change. The sessions will offer opportunities to discover tools developed by Mission Projects, exchange experiences across territories and build new partnerships between sectors and levels of governance.
Learning across cities and regions
The programme will begin on Monday, 23 November, with site visits to adaptation initiatives around Dublin, a pre-Forum workshop for the Community of Practice and an evening reception.
The main Forum will take place on Tuesday, 24 November, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. The programme will include discussions on governance, finance and cross-sector collaboration, as well as workshops dedicated to adaptation tools, nature-based solutions, coastal protection, risk planning, water resilience, land use and just resilience.
One of the workshop spaces will focus specifically on Just Resilience, a central issue for JUST4CARE. Climate adaptation is not only about deploying technical solutions. It also requires asking who is most exposed, who takes part in decision-making, which inequalities adaptation measures may reproduce, and how to ensure that their benefits reach those who need them most.
The Forum therefore offers an opportunity to connect local experiences with European debates and to learn how different cities and regions are turning climate adaptation into decisions, tools and practices that can improve everyday life.
Attend in person or online
Participation in the Forum is free upon registration and is open both in person and online.
