BC3 is a leading research institution focused on climate change science, policy and economics, supporting the transition towards low-carbon and climate-resilient societies.
As coordinator of JUST4CARE, BC3 supports the overall coherence of the project and leads work on climate risk assessment and AI-based tools for just climate resilience. Its role connects scientific evidence with practical decisions about where adaptation is most needed and who should be protected first.
This matters because just adaptation requires more than general climate data. It needs evidence that can be read alongside lived experience, local knowledge and unequal capacities to adapt. BC3 helps the project ask how models, indicators and tools can support fairer choices without replacing what communities know about their own conditions.
