Utrecht Province, with around 1.36 million residents, is one of the Netherlands’ most central and connected regions, bringing together 26 municipalities in the heart of the country. In JUST4CARE, it joins the project’s wider replication and knowledge-exchange ecosystem, building on a strong regional tradition of spatial planning, inter-municipal cooperation and climate governance. Its relevance lies in linking urban growth, quality of life and territorial resilience, while also strengthening its commitment to climate adaptation through its alignment with the EU Mission Charter on Adaptation to Climate Change.
